Queen Joan,
I'm in awe. The show was a complete magical, musical experience: At the same time, kudos to your production team. The show was programmed to evoke, memories of a style, which created a culture. Great job! I applaud you Joan and Larry, a pairing of pure talent, class, and style.
Envy, is the word, I'll use to describe, the love and p
rofessionalism, you displayed for each other, during the performance. Not only a fantastic show, but a historical moment for every person in the sold out arena. Professor Larry shared his compassion for the history of the music; while unassuming, used the audience, as a classroom. The teacher taught, while entertaining us. Wow! Joan Collaso, You were beautiful, sexy, funny, and the gowns looked great! The Best! The dancers were tastefully included and added to the production. In addition to a marvelous show, the inclusion of your daughters in the show, demonstrated the value of family and business. I wanted to share with you the overwhelming sense of pride that I feel as an entertainer, watching you perform. Congratulate the band and all the members of the production staff, job well done. I am impressed Thanks for a wonderful evening.   -Rudy Jones / Gentlemen of Leisure Band (August 16, 2010)

The span of the repertoire was very impressive. The songs by Shirley Horn and Nancy Wilson were boldly reconceived and beautifully done by a very talented performer, U Ms. Collaso. Wonderful show with an exciting audience. U were great. U are a compliment to American Classical Music within the idiom.   -Alvin Carter Bey / WHPK (August16,2010)

First and foremost your show was simply outstanding. Your beautiful voice along with the interpretative dancers in addition to the musicians made for a pleasurable evening. It was truly a collaborative effort for all those who were involved in making your show a great performance. Your show embraced the visual, which is rare for a vocal performance. You and your husband are an excellent planning team! It was innovative and exciting. As an educator, I especially appreciated your willingness to empower and inform your audience, young and old, on the historical background of these legendary women of song, Shirley Horn, Nancy Wilson and Lena Horne. These divas have impacted the African-American culture and made global contributions in making our world a better place. Lastly, Joan, let me say, Girl, when you sang "How Glad I Am" Nancy Wilson" I was the one in the audience who said don't do it! ( smile ) You rocked that! Classy show, Joan! You Go Girl!    -Mary Ann Grossett/The Bernie Mac Foundation (August 20. 2010)

Great job!!!  I'M SO GLAD I COULD ATTEND!!!  HUGS TO ALL. -LUCY LEHMAN (August 16, 2010)

Today I experienced one of the most amazing vocalists I have ever heard and I have heard a few in my time and her name is Joan Collaso!!! Thanks for a WONDERFUL show Joan, you are the BIZOMB!!!! Love you!  -Darryl Duncan/Game Beat Studios (August 15, 2010)

Yesterday was top performance of the year. Adjectives cannot adequately describe your show. It was the best. Congratulations Joan, to your players and your beautiful family.   -Randolph Lewellen (August 16. 2010)

Joan you were superb last nite at DuSable Museum. For me and the party with me it was the best performance of the year. Totally awesome, you were stunning in your gowns and your combo performed marvelously. The dancers and the two young people you had with you warmed our hearts. This was my first time seeing you perform but it won't be the last.   -John Matthews (August 16, 2010)

You were simply fabulous Sunday. Oh my God! Glad to know you!  - Pam Morris / WVON (August 17, 2010)
